At Ship-Trap, boredom isn’t on the menu.
That’s because we have a swarm of activities custom-designed to keep you engaged, entertained, and alive. Try one of our delightful crafternoons, where you’ll join expert teachers as they demonstrate how to construct water bottles out of broad leaves and build a fire even when the firewood is wet. If you’re still with us by Friday, they’ll even teach you how to dig a tiger pit or fasten a Malay mancatcher, based on our teachers’ experiences hunting in the humid wilds of Malacca.
Our gymnasium is state-of-the-art, with treadmills, free weights, weight machines, and a climbing wall. Individual coaching sessions are a great idea for those unfamiliar with attempting to scale a 30-foot sheer rock wall in the dead of night.
Since we are surrounded by forest, the hiking trails are top-notch. Want recommendations? For early risers, grab a map, fill your thermos with hot coffee, and head out for a sunrise hike to Desolation Point or Paranoia Peak. On the way back, pop by the hot springs for a refreshing dip. But don’t linger too long or you’ll miss breakfast! In fact, don’t ever linger too long anywhere, at any time, for any reason.
When you need a quiet moment, stop by the library. There you can sit in a wing-backed burgundy chair and sip a glass of wine from our award-winning list as you read from the works of Marcus Aurelius to steel your nerves against what is to come.
